- When you arrive at the center your chart is already prepared using information provided by your physician. We will ask you to review the information to ensure accuracy. All charges incurred at the Surgical Pavilion are your responsibility; however, the Center will be happy to bill your insurance company as a courtesy to you. You will be asked to provide your insurance card, driver’s license or photo I.D., list of medications, and payment obligation.
- A pre-op nurse will then take you into the pre-op area to review your medical history, medications, and allergies. The nurse will then have you change into a patient gown where your vital signs will then be taken and an IV started.
- Your procedure may require sedation. Because we care about your safety, if you had any sedation we cannot allow you to drive home.
- Your family should wait in the lobby until you are brought to the discharge area. Your physician will speak with your family or the person accompanying you following your procedure. Your family may stay with you until discharge.
